BIOGRAPHY
Danni Nicholls is a British-born, Nashville-based Americana singer-songwriter and a three-time Americana Music Association UK Award nominee, known for her emotionally incisive songwriting, commanding voice and accomplished live performances. Her work blends Americana, soul, and roots music with a distinctly transatlantic perspective—personal, resonant, and powerful.
Over the past decade, Danni has toured extensively across the UK, Europe, and North America, both as a headliner and as a handpicked opener for artists including Lucinda Williams, The Secret Sisters, and Sturgill Simpson. Her songs have reached global audiences, including placements on hit TV series’ such as Sons of Anarchy, and have received support from BBC Radio 2, respected folk venues, and major festivals such as AMERICANAFEST, 30A Songwriters Festival, Tønder Festival, and Mile of Music.
She has released three critically acclaimed albums, all recorded in Nashville with Grammy-winning collaborators, as well as a recent eight-track project honouring her Anglo-Indian heritage & grandmother, drawing from the traditional country and roots music she grew up with.
Now based in the U.S. with an O-1 artist visa, Danni is preparing to release her fourth and most ambitious album to date in June 2026—a record that expands her sound while deepening her focus on identity, agency, and emotional truth. A proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, she approaches music as a space for connection and shared humanity. With rich vocals and melodies that have drawn comparisons to Brandi Carlile, Rosanne Cash, and KT Tunstall, Danni Nicholls offers a live experience that is intimate, dynamic and compelling
